Would You Rather Tag: Beauty Edition :)

Hello lovely people!

I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but i've been MIA for awhile and I hate it!  I have two more weeks of school, then it's final week.  Everything has been happening all at once, and I just had no time for anything.  But I'm back right now, and I'm so happy!! Since it's been awhile, I thought I'd do a fun would you rather tag: beauty edition.  I got this amazing idea from Kim's The Thirty Something Life Blog and I really wanted to do it :)  So let's just get right into it!

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip glosses or all of your palettes and eyeshadows? 
    Palettes and eyeshadows because I need my makeup and I can live without eyeshadow!!

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again? 
   Never be able to cut it again because my hair only grows to one length and stops anyways.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
   A coral cheek. I'm not a big fan of pink

4. If you had $1,000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
   Clothes!! You can never have too many clothes :) plus I have enough makeup to last me my entire life haha

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
   Probably lipstick as eyeliner

6. Would you rather only shop at Sephora or MAC?
   Sephora for sure! Love that store

7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
   One lip color for the rest of my life because I love wearing different eyeshadow, but I rarely put anything on my lips except for Chapstick.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
   I do love summer clothes, but I hate being cold so I'd say winter clothes in summer

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
   Bright nails will brighten your mood! :)

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
   I wouldn't say Chapstick is my favorite lip product, but I actually need it because my lips are very sensitive so I couldn't live without Chapstick.

11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or messy bun?
   Messy bun because I do that anyways!

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
   Never wear lipgloss.  I don't wear lipgloss now, but I need my nails painted lol

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
   This is like a lose lose situation.  I'd look terrible with no eyebrows, and I'd look terrible with sharpie drawn eyebrows.  I guess I would go with no eyebrows.

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish? 
   Nail polish for sure! As much as I love nail polish,  I need my makeup!

Sephora, Ulta, & Aerie HAUL

Hello lovely people!

I recently went on a mini vacation with Dustin to Minneapolis MN, and you have to visit the Mall of America when you go there.  You just have to, and of course I did some shopping so I thought i'd make a haul of what I bought! :)  I love watching hauls on youtube, so I hope you enjoy this post!

Alright, so maybe some of you know that the mall of america is huge and has too many stores to count, its just that big.  I am quite shocked at myself for not buying that much, as this haul is only from three different stores haha but I will start out with Sephora because I was most excited for this store.

                                                                                                                              

1.

The first thing I got from Sephora was the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in the color Sin.  I was actually watching Lauren Elizabeth do a haul on youtube, and she mentioned this primer so I was very excited to try it out.  This primer has a simple sheer look to it, so it acts as a primer, but also looks like you have some eyeshadow on which is awesome! It's like two in one :)

2.

The second thing I bought from Sephora is the GLAMGLOW Thirstymud hydrating treatment.  The 1.7 oz container is $69.00 so I bought the 0.5 oz one to test out which is $19.00.  As you can see, it has more of a dark cream color too it. I am liking it so far!  I hate looking in the mirror and seeing my skin dry and not hydrated.  I just rub this all over my face, you don't need that much because it is more thick, and it's been making my skin look soft and hydrated!

3.

The last thing I bought from Sephora was the new Lowlight/Highlight Perfecting Palette by Becca.  I have been very excited to try this out and experiment with it.  I really want to change up my makeup routine and try new things, and I've been very interested in contouring and highlighting my face.  I have all this makeup that I never use.  Honestly, I use like 5 things everyday and it's time for a change, so I can't wait to try this out! 

lets move on to Ulta!

1.

The first thing I bought from Ulta is these two Shampoos.  I have a lot of hair and I go through shampoo like crazy.  Conditioner can last me awhile so I thought I'd try out two different shampoos. The first one is weightless hydration coconut water shampoo.  This one is suppose to help with dry, parched hair and make it silky and shiny.  The second one is quenched sea mineral moisture shampoo.  Again, this helps dry brittle hair transform into soft perfection.  I am excited to try these out :)

The next thing I bought is the new Maybelline New York Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser.  So I am only 20 years old, why on earth would I have dark circles?? Probably because I don't get enough sleep and I'm terrible at taking off my makeup every night (I know I know)  So yes, I have dark circles under my eyes, and maybe it looks worse in my eyes than what others see, but it bothers me!  So I thought it was time to actually go out and buy a product that is made for dark circles and I came across this.  I even looked up reviews, and they were all pretty darn positive.  I've been using it for a few days and I do see a difference.  I got the light shade because you want a shade that is lighter than your actual foundation so it brightens up under your eyes (hence dark circle eraser :P)   

3. 

This is the Revlon all day wear liquid eyeliner.  I have been getting very annoyed with my eyeliner, and I could never find one that I liked and worked well.  I have blue eyes, and ever since I started wearing makeup, my mom made me wear brown and not black...now I'm hooked on brown.  I think it looks better with my skin and eye color instead of a bold black color on my face.  I am really loving this eye liner though.  I need to wipe some off when I take the applicator out because there is already so much on it, and it creates a nice line that stays on ALL DAY! I love it!

Ok so I splurged and got a second eyeliner, because why not.  This is the Palladio liquid eyeliner.  I want to test them out to see which one I like better.  I used this once already and it's nice, but I want to use it a few more times to get a better opinion.

And lastly from Ulta, I got the Sally Hansen miracle Gel nail polish with the top coat. The color I got is 'all chalked up' and it's just a very subtle and light purple color.  I just had the acrylic fake nails taken off, so my nails aren't in the best condition right now, but I put it on and I do love it. It hasn't chipped yet, and that is my biggest thing with nail polish!

Now for Aerie :)

Aerie recently closed in my mall which is just devastating ;(  so now it's a perfect excuse to buy stuff there at the mall of america!  Of course I had to buy 7 undies for $26.50.  That is the best deal ever!!!  You can never have too many pairs of Aerie undies :)  and then I really wanted to get a bralette because I've never had one before and you can create a lot of cute outfits with one.  So I saw this black one at Aerie and fell in love!  You can't really tell in the picture, but it just has a very nice texture and pattern to it.

Hello lovely people!

I decided to do the TMI (too much information) tag for you guys because...why not!

1: What are you wearing?

I am just wearing dark wash skinny jeans from Hollister (love them!) with a nice peach colored blouse because it's Easter Sunday today.  :) I have to wear a nice festive color on Easter! 

2: Ever been in love?

Of course! I am right now to my wonderful boyfriend Dustin :)

3: Ever had a terrible breakup?

Yes.  I think any breakup would be terrible to an extent.  I don't see how anyone would like  going through that?  But that's in the past now :)

 

4: How tall are you?

I am 5 feet 6 inches tall.  Short torso, LONG legs haha

5: How much do you weigh?

I weigh a whopping 110 pounds.. TMI, I know lol

6: Any tattoos?

YES! I have two at the moment, and still want one or two more.

9: Favorite show?

F.R.I.E.N.D.S!  Love Love Love that show!  I remember years ago, I would always watch the random episodes they would play on TV.  I can't even remember when I got into it and I honestly don't know how I got hooked on this show, but I finally got the full set and watched it start to finish two summers ago and bawled my eyes out when it ended.  I was obsessed with Pretty Little Liars before, and currently The Walking Dead, but Friends is my all time favorite show. 

10: Favorite bands?

I'm not huge into bands, but my favorite singer is Taylor Swift.  I am in love with Alex and Sierra from The X-Factor, and I also like Fifth Harmony because they are sassy young ladies! 

11: Something you miss?

My beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog Yukon :/  He was my first and only pet and he was my best friend.  We had to put him down last year due to cancer.  Not a day goes by when I don't think about my little man. <3

Currently, it's Blank Space by Taylor Swift.  I am also loving Fight Song by Rachel Platten :)

I am 20 years old and will be 21 on August 29th :) whoop whoop!

Dang that's tough.  I love Kristen Wiig because she is hilarious.  Jennifer Aniston is a great actress too.  Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Downey Jr.

That depends on my mood.  I love blasting the radio when I drive so I can sing along to music or if I have headphones in, I like it more loud.  But if I don't feel good or have a headache, i'll want it soft.

21: How long does it take you to shower?

Well it depends..I could totally shower in 5 minutes if I have to but...I'm also lazy and I love the hot water so I take as long as I possibly can because I don't like being cold. 

22: How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?

Honestly, I can get ready in 10 minutes if I'm running late.  Which is majority of the time, but I shower at night so that's not counting a shower.

Never

Blue eyes, clear skin, nice teeth, and when Dustin calls me cutie :)

26: The reason I made a blog?

I've thought about this for years.  People would always tell me writing was a stronger subject of mine, and I do enjoy writing a lot.  I finally just stopped thinking about it and made a blog basically about my life.  It's still new, but I have so many ideas for it and I would love the support from others! :) 

27: Fears?

Everything.  Not even kidding.  I can find a fear in anything.  It's pretty annoying. 

28: Last thing that made you cry?

I think after a very stressful night at work (I'm a waitress btw).  I just overthink things and dwell on mistakes I make and give myself a very very hard time.

Well my first name is Gina and my middle name is Marie and I was just so bored of my first and last name so I thought of switching it up.  I love having Marie as a middle name and I like the sound of Gina Marie :)

Pinteresting

Hola Beauties! 

If you didn't know already...I love Pinterest.  I could sit on there for days and just Pin different things to the many boards I have.  Since this blog is still pretty new to me, I wanted to try something else with it.  Add more to it and not just write about things all the time (even though that's what a blog is...hehe)  

Anyways, I enjoy watching tutorials and reviews on different things because I find it helpful for me.  If I'm going to buy something online, I will read many reviews from others to make sure the object I'm buying is good and legit.  If I want to bake something, I would love to hear feedback from others who have already tried it and/or tips they have.  So I thought, why not put that in my blog.  Combine my love for pinterest and all the interesting things I find on there and make it PINTERESTING!  

For this page in my blog, I will find any interesting thing on pinterest and write a tutorial for you guys.  It could involve DIYs, cooking, recipes, etc.  Whatever I find interesting on Pinterest, and want to try and recreate, I'll blog the experience and hopefully this could be entertaining and helpful to some people.  I am very excited about this, and I hope you guys are too! :) I love trying new recipes and DIYs so this should be fun! You can also comment down below any suggestions you'd like me to try out and blog about it.  I will gladly try it :) Stay tuned for my first Pinteresting post!

Meeting Alex and Sierra

Meet and Greet!! 

Over the weekend, Dustin and I had a mini vacation and went to see an Illusionist show, did some shopping at the Mall of America, and then saw Alex and Sierra in concert!! We bought VIP tickets which meant we got to meet them, get pictures, and talk with them!  :D It was just so crazy being right next to them and having a legit conversation with them when I watched their journey on the X-Factor a few years ago.  They are the sweetest people ever, and they are hilarious too :)  This was one of my favorite concerts even though they are not that big right now.  They can put on a show.

Covering I will survive by Gloria Gaynor :) Amazing!

If you aren't familiar with Alex and Sierra, go check them out!! They are seriously amazing! This was definitely an experience I will never forget.  

I have to thank Dustin for this because it was my Christmas present from him :) So he made all this happen and I couldn't be more thankful!  Dustin is making a pretty awesome video of our little road trip, so you should go subscribe to his youtube channel here and check out the video! 

And of course I had to model my new shirt :)

This was an incredible weekend, and I can't wait to do more trips with Dustin! Thanks guys, see ya next time!

New Venus Swirl Razor

 Hello everyone!  So we have been getting some pretty nice weather here in Duluth, and I knew it was time to shave my legs again so I could wear cute skirts, dresses, and carpi without worrying about how my legs looked.  I was at my boyfriend’s house the other night, and I just happened to look down at my legs and realized I did not do a good job shaving.  My razor just did not want to work apparently so that’s when it occurred to me that I need a new one.  I have been seeing the new Venus swirl razor out in stores and kept walking past in, not wanting to spend $10.00 on a razor.  Finally one day I just decided to try it out.  I went to my local Target store and picked it up.  That night I used it for the first time and oh my gosh its amazing!  It is completely worth the money. 

I am always nervous using a new razor for the first time because they start off more sharp, but it was perfect.  Extremely smooth on your skin and that ball in the middle swerves back and forth to easily go over your legs.  I know this is just a razor, but I thought id give a review in case anyone out there is skeptical like I was.  I’m thinking about going back to get the shaving cream displayed with the razor, because shaving cream is so much better than soap.  One little thing I don’t like is that its not really meant for your armpits.  It’s just took big and didn’t really work that best, so I think I’ll still use a smaller razor for that, but the swirl razor is still 100% worth it for your legs.
